The Company
Kastner & Öhler is a well-known Austrian retailer recognized for its wide fashion range across all ages. Their catalogue is curated with a focus on brands, styles, and seasonal inspiration, complemented by editorial sections that highlight what’s trending and showcase current favorites.
The Challenge
While K&Ö has a strong online presence and rich catalogs of styles , customers sometimes find it hard to visualize how individual items work together in complete outfits. The browsing may give inspiration (via images and curated looks), but not everyone can picture how different pieces of clothing and accessories combine in real life.
Product discovery is filtered by price, brand, style attributes, etc., and customers benefit from seeing cohesive combinations rather than isolated items. There’s a gap between seeing “this piece is nice” and “this piece works with what I already own / what I like”.
The Solution
By integrating our virtual dressing room / outfit builder technology, K&Ö offers:
- A banner or entry point on their webshop that invites users to explore a set of curated looks or start creating their own outfit in the virtual dressing room.
- Pre‑prepared looks designed by stylists or trend editors as inspiration; these looks can be loaded immediately so users can see them fully styled and further personalised.
- Outfit saving and sharing features so customers can revisit, compare, or share looks.
Matching with their existing filters/catalog: items shown in the virtual dressing room are in stock, sortable by size, style, price, etc., so that experience remains seamless with the rest of the shop.

The Results
- Higher engagement: Customers stay longer on the site, exploring combinations; fashion inspiration becomes more interactive.
- Increased conversion: Seeing full outfits helps customers make confident purchasing decisions, perhaps buying more than one item to complete a look.
- Reduced returns: Because customers see items together and can “try” combinations virtually, they are better informed, which may lead to fewer surprises (e.g. color mismatches, style clashes).
- Brand differentiation: Offering virtual styling / outfit creation aligns K&Ö with modern, tech‑savvy shopping experiences; enhances customer perception as a trend‑leader and service‑oriented retailer.
